Organigramme : Alternative: EVENT - M.U.ST 2006 -

The 18th M.U.ST Meeting Users of STerci was held on Thursday 14 of September 2006 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Geneva. This was the largest M.U.ST ever held by Sterci; 90 participants representing 40 financial institutions have attended the meeting.

The M.U.ST theme was “extend your reach” showing how  Sterci products,  consulting services and its new Swift service bureau can help its community to access more institutions and how the use of modern technologies can facilitate such extensions.

Sterci executives opened the plenary session with the latest business and financial news. 2006 is looking great with 32 projects and 26 news customers and prestigious new names such as a Nomura Bank, Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild and Clearstream.                           The market recognises Sterci  through the Swift labels obtained (Swift Ready Gold for cash and security reconciliation – SwiftNet Funds) and a number of press releases and magazine interviews.

The investment in Sterci products were important since last M.U.ST. All the products have well progressed:

¨ Stelink                : Ready for new SWIFTNet challenges (FileAct, InterAct, Phase 2)

¨ Stematch          : Now n°1 in Switzerland

¨ Steform              : One of the 3 SWIFTNet funds labelled system in the world

¨ KEYdata             : More data-feed

The product strategy was presented; Sterci will continue to invest:

Stelink –The current version 9.1 now includes thin client user functionalities.

The Oracle version will be available with Stelink 9.2 in February 2007.

A strong investment will be done to replace the current GUI to the Thin Client, RMA and performance increase.

Stematch - The Oracle version is currently launched with Stematch V 7.0.

A significant investment will be done on the Generic reconciliation and the Web Client.

Steform – The current version 2.0 includes nice new features like the debug mode which is of much help when configuring new rules.

Investment will be done in the area of performances and monitoring.

KEYdata – The current version 2.0 includes a complete reengineering of the batch scheduler and new data feeds support (Reuters, FT-ID).

Investment will be done in the area of : repository, look and feel.

Mrs Eleni Pitsinigou, Director Banking Business Support at Euroclear has been invited to testify about the KEYdata implementation at        Euroclear Bank end of 2005.  Euroclear has much appreciated  the quality of the product, the level of expertise and knowledge of Sterci team, the understanding of their needs, the project methodology and the delivery in time and budget.

Frédéric Viard, Sterci senior consultant  had the hard task to speak about the banking environment. Compliance and business requirements are providing the ground for a plethora of initiatives in the Financial Industry. Although these initiatives are very different, they show some common features such as XML syntax and appetite for data.

Mr Lino Finini, Head of Back Office, Banking Applications and Quality at Swissquote, after 3 years of assignment as the M.U.ST president has resigned. We would like to thank him for his great support. Mrs Joëlle Kwapisz from Lloyds TSB has been appointed as the new M.U.ST       president for the year to come, with 100% of people support. Mrs Kwapisz has made the promise to  listen to our customers and represent them towards Sterci.

Four presentations were given in parallel to present and demo the new version of each of our products.

After a short break, 2 conferences were given in parallel, one from SWIFT with Mr Michel Holemans, SWIFTNet Phase 2 handholding engineer and Frédéric Viard from Sterci; the topic was SWIFTNet Phase II –key factors and issues. The other conference held by Sterci was about SSB, Service Bureau and Disaster Recovery Plan by Mr David Benarroch.

The M.U.ST ended up with the “velinos” show, magic and acrobatics followed by a cocktail party.

We encourage all our customers to attend this meeting as it is now becoming not only an information day about Sterci products but also a forum were everyone can learn and share information about our banking environment.

If you have not attended the meeting and want to know more or want to have a copy of the slides, send an e-mail to isabelle.duc@sterci.com.
