The SIBOS 2006 took place in Sydney around the theme “Raising ambitions”. Held in a period of time where current regulatory and business drivers are focused on the set up of the monetary Euroland as well as the increased use of SWIFTNet by the corporate clients, the topics       addressed during the SIBOS sessions were mainly centred on the SEPA build up (including Target 2 and PE-ACHs), and increased corporate access. As both require advanced connectivity through SWIFTNet FileAct and InterAct to complement FIN, many discussions have been held on these new services with, of course, specific interest on the new XML – ISO 20022 messages (i.e. the so-called MX) sent over InterAct.      The coming soon SWIFTNet Phase 2 migration was also deeply discussed, as it is a mandatory feature to support SWIFTNet in the near future.

Always close to the customers demands, Sterci has presented its multi-network service-oriented STELINK platform involving some value added STEFORM components. This Sterci offer enabling end to end XML and supporting RMA as well as all the SWIFTNet services had a great     success with many Tier 1 institutions visiting us for further information and demos. A real success also linked to the public announcement,     during the event, of the MX Exceptions & Investigations implementation made by Sterci through STELINK for a Top 3 banks worldwide.        Coupled with recent STELINK benchmark results – 550’000 messages per hour ! -, we are confident that the product fits today with the challenge of    tomorrow.

Finally, to consolidate the relationships with its customer and prospects, Sterci has organized a dinner cruise around Sydney to allow senior bankers to further network with their counterparts and providers. Far from here, a real Sterci success for the biggest SWIFT event !
